As the dark tempest howled, the young man stepped into the long, drafty hallway. His every step caused the old wooden floor to creak and moan. He heard the long, piercing sound of a door's rusted hinges as it opened, not a few feet to his left. Too afraid to make a sound, the man stepped gingerly towards the room. The gales of wind screamed a silent warning, but the man paid no heed to the sounds of the elements. He stepped into the room and heard a soft moaning and crying from the corner that was enshrouded with shadow. He quietly walked towards the sound, slowly, slowly, until he reached the empty wall. His eyes widened in fright as a hand wrapped around his throat and squeezed all his humanity and sanity from his lifeless body.

Hey, everybody! Thursday, I picked up Maus I and Maus II, as well as Elie Wiesel`s "Night"! Today, me and Dad saw Star Trek, the movie, and it was really cool. It had some neat special effects, and had an interesting plot. My review: 10/10.

Although I haven't been blogging much, a lot has happened since my last major post. I want to start out by expressing my happiness that Barack Obama has become our newest president here in the U.S.A. Second, I got this cool new laptop. It works great. I have an account at newgrounds, which is a website devoted to games and videos made by anyone and everyone. I have been playing the MMORPG World of Warcraft quite a lot. I have a level 25 paladin right now. I have been playing a computer game called Spore here on my new laptop. On the Random Access Thought/File, I have a new pet: Twitter. My dad has a Twitter page and it can be accessed from his blog here on blogspot. that's pretty much all for now, will blog more. My school, Kipp Tech Valley, has an extended school year. This means that I have to go to two weeks of "summer school". It starts on the second week of August. This may sound weird, but I am anticipating the challenge of schoolwork. The school's website is www.kipptechvalley.org

In the last few weeks, I've done a bit of stuff. I got a new Animal Crossing:Wild World so I could connect with my other one. I did a stupid thing with the first one. I was on the final mortgage (948,000 Bells, which is like $948,000), and I started a new game. In my own defense, I didn't know what the last mortgage was. But I digress. In other news, I got a new watch because my Disney watch was stolen, as I mentioned before. I spent a good amount of time at my grandmother's house playing Civilization III on her computer and playing Animal Crossing on the Nintendo DS. My grandmother's birthday was today. I'm trying to get a picture of me with her that isn't blurry. The only problem is that the child in that picture is no longer me. That picture was taken when I was younger than seven years old. However, I couldn't get the picture by e-mailing it to my dad's computer through my grandmother's computer. I will try using my Play Station Portable and the USB cable for the PSP to lift it. That's all for now, but check in later to see if I go to Maine with my grandma and what happens on that trip if I do go.

Today I re-ecountered my friend Luke. I somtimes call him Skywalker. I first met him at Lake George. We went to The Six Flags Great Escape today and the very Friendly's that I talked about last time. He is Terry's grandson.

Today, I went to Friendly's. After we ordered and ate the first part of our meal, we wanted ice cream. After all, doesn't ice cream make the meal? Anyways, the computer for recording the orders froze. When the waitress came over to us, she said that she didn't think she could take our ice cream orders. My grandmother's friend Terry suggested that she could write it down. The waitress did, but got my order wrong. Then, the waitress tried to get our receipt, but the computer was still not acting up. She came back about 10 minutes later with the check. It is my belief that without computers, the average human who uses a computer on a daily to weekly basis would not be able to function. This begs the question: Are humans totally dependent on computers?

Last week, I started summer vacation. I went to Disney World with my mom and grandmother. When I got back, Dad was surprised that I didn't want to do much. However, we saw "Iron Man" and "Kung Fu Panda" this week.Tomorrow, we are going to see "Wall-e". That's all for now, so more later.

Over the past few weeks, I've done quite a lot. Just last week, I went to Atlanta, Georgia on a school trip. While there, I saw the World of Coca-Cola, the Georgia Aquarium, and the CNN building. I also acquired a battle wound. I accidentally cut my scalp on a TV stand/closet device. The paramedics described it as a "superficial laceration." When I got back to good old New York, I acquired a new Sony PSP. My dad did a little work on it because one of the buttons was sticking in place. With no real damage done, my dad had what I call an "episode." This is when dad gets guilty. I got a new red PSP, and it works great. Now, it is the last week of school. I have 3.5 days left. As you may have seen, I have a picture of me and my grandma, who I call Mema, on her 70th birthday. She is my only living grandparent. My grandma on my dad's side died about 6 weeks after was born and my grandfather died later on of smoking. My grandfather on my mom's side died of leukemia in 1995. I love my Mema very much.
